FleXtents® marquees for garden parties, receptions and celebrations

Create an inviting covered space for dining, drinks and conversation with a FleXtents® pop-up gazebo. Used as a party marquee, it gives you a flexible setting for birthdays, wedding receptions, club celebrations and company gatherings, with a folding frame that makes setup and transport straightforward.

Keep the sides open to connect the party with the garden, or add selected sidewalls for more enclosure and privacy. Choose the size and layout around your celebration, whether you need shelter for the guests or a separate covered area for a buffet, bar or lounge.

A folding marquee for different occasions

A FleXtents® marquee uses a folding pop-up frame with connected legs and roof bars. Unlike a traditional marquee assembled from separate poles, the frame opens as one unit. You then fit the cover and sidewalls according to the model’s instructions.

Smaller models can usually be set up in a few minutes by at least two people familiar with the system. Larger models need more people and space, and sidewalls, accessories and anchoring add to the preparation time.

The frame folds down after use, making FleXtents® practical when you hold celebrations in different places or want to store the shelter between occasions.

Choose the size around your guests and furniture

Start with how people will use the space. A standing reception needs a different layout from a seated meal. Tables and chairs require room for guests to sit down, pull out their chairs and move around without blocking the entrance.

Allow additional space for serving tables, a drinks station or a buffet queue. If guests will move between the marquee and the garden, position entrances along those natural routes.

Measure the available area before choosing a size, including room to unfold and anchor the frame. For one large, uninterrupted dining space, a traditional marquee may be more suitable. A FleXtents® can then provide a separate covered area for serving or welcoming guests.

Use sidewalls to shape the setting

An open gazebo creates an airy setting with access from several sides. Selected sidewalls can provide a backdrop for a buffet, screen stored equipment or make a seating area feel more enclosed. Depending on the model, options include solid walls, windows and entrances.

Window walls let guests look out while keeping the space visually connected to the surroundings. An open front can make a bar or serving area easy to approach. Check which walls are included in your chosen configuration.

Compatible gazebos can also stand side by side to create separate dining, serving or lounge zones. Suitable connectors and rain gutters help organise the joins between them. Each gazebo still needs its own anchoring.

Select a series for your frequency of use

For occasional garden parties and private celebrations, FleXtents® Basic offers an affordable option with a lightweight steel frame. STEEL provides a more robust steel frame for repeated use, while PRO STEEL suits regular private, club and professional events.

FleXtents® PRO has an aluminium frame for frequent professional use, particularly when easier transport and handling matter. Xtreme is the strongest FleXtents® series and is intended for intensive professional use.

Compare the specifications, weight and included parts of the models you are considering. Choose according to your event schedule and handling needs; a stronger frame does not remove the need to respond to changing weather.

Add atmosphere and a practical finishing touch

Coordinate the gazebo’s colour with your tables, seating and decorations to create a welcoming setting. Suitable lighting can help define dining and lounge areas, provided it is installed according to the equipment and gazebo instructions.

For company celebrations, club events or receptions, selected print solutions can add a logo, message or graphic design to compatible covers and sidewalls.

Choose accessories for the exact size and frame series. Before ordering, confirm compatibility and whether a transport bag is included or available separately. Check the folded dimensions against your storage and vehicle space.

Anchor the marquee and plan for the weather

Secure every leg, even when conditions seem calm. Use appropriate pegs and storm straps on suitable soft ground. On paving, asphalt or concrete, use weights or another anchoring solution suited to the gazebo and surface.

Sidewalls increase the area exposed to wind. Check the forecast before the celebration and monitor conditions throughout. Take the gazebo down before strong winds, heavy rain or other severe weather arrives. FleXtents® marquees are temporary shelters, and anchoring does not make them safe in all conditions.

Let the roof cover and sidewalls dry completely before packing them away. Need help planning your covered party space? Dancover’s experts can help you choose a size, series and compatible accessories for your celebration.
